Zebrarena - A new stadium for Sporting de Charleroi, scheduled for 2026-2027, will be built on the former site of the Aciéries et Minières de la Sambre in Marchienne-au-Pont. This 20,000-seat stadium will host sporting and cultural events, with a transparent roof for better versatility.

Aerospacelab Megafactory - Charleroi is becoming a major center for the European space industry with the construction of the "megafactory" by Aerospacelab. This factory will be one of the largest in Europe for satellite manufacturing, with a production capacity of up to 500 satellites per year. Located on the site of the former ACEC in Marcinelle, the factory will occupy an area of 16,000 m², including a 6,000 m² cleanroom and 3,000 m² of laboratories.

Biotech 5 - The Biotech 5 project in Charleroi is a major initiative as part of the development of the BioPark in Gosselies, an area dedicated to life sciences and biotechnology. This project is part of a larger ensemble, the EU Biotech Campus, which aims to create a center of excellence for training, research, and development in biotechnology.

Campus of Sciences, Arts, and Crafts - The Campus of Sciences, Arts, and Crafts in Charleroi, also known as "Campus Charleroi Métropole," is an ambitious project aimed at revitalizing the city and creating a center of excellence for education, training, and research. This campus will include several key infrastructures: Cité des Métiers, the Zénobe Gramme University Center, and the Design Innovation Competence Center.

Grand Palais de Charleroi - formerly known as the Palais des Expositions, has undergone a major renovation to become a modern multifunctional space. This project, part of the Charleroi Creative District development, cost approximately 48.5 million euros and was co-financed by Europe and the Walloon Region. This project marks an important step in the revitalization of Charleroi's Upper Town and the transformation of this area into a dynamic and attractive district for residents and visitors.

Thy-Marcinelle - The renovation project of the Thy-Marcinelle site in Charleroi aims to modernize and integrate this historic steelworks into the city's urban landscape. This project, costing 28 million euros, includes the creation of new offices, landscaped parking lots, and the installation of photovoltaic panels to improve energy efficiency. The goal is to better integrate the industrial site into urban development while preserving its essential economic activity.

Grand Hospital of Charleroi (GHdC) - The Grand Hospital of Charleroi (GHdC) is an ambitious project that centralizes five existing hospitals into a single complex located on the Viviers site in Gilly, covering 17 hectares. The opening of the new hospital is scheduled for 2024, and it will become one of the largest hospitals in Belgium with around 900 beds. This project represents a key step in the development of Charleroi's healthcare system, aiming to provide modern and centralized facilities for better quality care.

Marina in Charleroi - The Marina project in Charleroi is an ambitious initiative aimed at revitalizing the area around the Sambre, transforming the city center into a modern and attractive space. This project, called the "Relais Nautique," plans for the construction of a modern marina that will serve as an attraction point for nautical and leisure activities, as well as for commercial and residential development.

Palais des Beaux-Arts of Charleroi (PBA) - The Palais des Beaux-Arts of Charleroi (PBA) is undergoing a major renovation as part of the "Charleroi Creative District" project. This initiative aims to revitalize the city center and modernize this iconic cultural institution. The works include exterior renovations of the facades, roofs, and sanitary blocks. A "second skin" in metal cladding is planned for certain parts of the facades, to modernize the appearance while respecting the original architectural style.
